Deadline is over and it's now official. I have a list of the competing teams on our website www.smokeonthewaterbbq.com. Just go to our North Little Rock site and the menu bar is registered teams. Smoke on the water has 225 teams, we had to turn down close to 50 more for missing deadline, with teams from Canada and Japan. Actually have a Japanese film crew doing a documentary on the event. Besides the great turnout for the $100,000 prize money, we will be announcing our TOY series. We have $10,000 for our TOY (pay top 5 places with $5,000 and free entries to all 2011 events) guaranteed. Will know in two weeks if that will bump up to $20,000. Feel certain it will be with the new rules in place, don't want to make that official until we have the contract. I think you will agree, the absolute best teams in the world at the USA Barbecue Championship. We're already in negotiations with the city to double prize money to $200,000 in 2011 since this was such a huge success. Good luck to those that entered and for those that didn't, try us again next year. We're skimping on trophies and splurging on cash! Oh, and our prize money is guaranteed.
