Please realize that I fully understand the rule and am not asking for a ruling. I'm not even going to attempt sharing my rig, I was just wodering why it would be such an issue if there are two totally separate cookers on it.

Now that these thoughts are out in the open, what would be the difference of two teams setting up side by side as usual and having cookers sitting right beside each other as I already see at contests? Would everyone think my brother and I were cheating if we loaded my catering truck with all of our supplies and a couple of small cookers and then unloaded side by side and set up our cookers side by side in our own sites.

I guess I just don't understand the thinking in this situation. I think the "perception" thing is crap. Sounds like a good topic for an article eh.
