If thieves scope out a trailer they want to steal. The first thing they want to do is to get it off the premises. In a situation like Rays, They are going to get it out of there as fast as they can. They'll worry about what's inside of it later.
The trailer has a lock on it and the doors are locked on it. I don't think they're going to break the door locks first. Rummage around inside of it before they steal the trailer.
So you have a tracking device inside the trailer that is GPS monitored. The thieves are hauling the trailer down the road. Ray comes out, sees the trailer gone, calls the cops and tells them he has a GPS position on the trailer. Thieves caught before they can find the unit inside the trailer.
For a couple hundred bucks I'd think it's a pretty good piece of mind.
