They do grow on you with about anything you eat with them. They are simple to make. I use a gallon container starting with three stacks of saltines. Mix a cup and a half of canola oil, one-half TSP. of ground red pepper, one TSP. of red pepper flakes, and one package of Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing mix. Pour the mix over the crackers in the container, put a lid on it, and rotate several times over the next few hours. I try to make them a day ahead. I have used oyster crakers. They make a good handful snack. I don't how long they will keep because them and the jug they are in dissappear about every time I take them to a contest. You can crank up the pepper if you want but this seems to please everyone.
