Time sure flies, Hugo landed in SC in late 1989, 21 years ago. I moved there to help rebuild, and met my wife. We will have been married 18 years this Nov.
On the current situation I still have family that live there and they seem to feel fairly secure Myrtle Beach will only get strong winds and rain. I would keep an ear to the radio though. You can't be too careful. Have fun and good luck.
