So I looked things up on line and what I found is pretty darn interesting. Believe what you want. I know what I think:

Here are their qualifying wins:

04/17/10 - Wildomar
05/08/10 - Morgan Hill
06/05/10 - Penn Valley
07/03/10 - Stockton
07/31/10 - Vista
08/14/10 - Valley Center

That's only 6 right?

Now according to what I read on their website, they also won the NM State Championship. However, they did that under a cloud of controversy. At least according to my sources who were present. They were initially awarded RGC. Then they complained about the way the contest results were tabulated because pork was an optional category meaning that you got money for placing in the category but it didn't count in the overall. I'm told this is a common scenario in IBCA. At any rate, Slap Yo Daddy strong armed everyone into changing the rules to suit their needs and stole some other team's GC.

At the time, and up until very recently that contest was not a qualifier because it didn't have enough teams. It shouldn't have mattered for purposes of the Jack.

Hold onto your hats though, despite being widely reported as a non-qualifier, just this week magically, presto chango internet magico, the IBCA results page lists 27 teams and it is a seventh qualifying win.

Do you think that the IBCA reps can't count to 27 with less than a 20% margin of error? Not likely right? Very suspicious that the change in the number of teams comes right after Slap Yo Daddy missed their last chance for an actual qualifying win at Konocti Vista (an 8th place choke job).
