According to the TQ directions it calls for 1 cup of TQ to 4 cups of water. I just deleted some of the water and added the maple syrup to make up the difference. I never had a problem with doing bacon from side pork using a cure rub but I thought this time I'd try something different. I'll keep you posted on the results.
