I grew up in Rochester and worked at several of the local hot dog places in the 60's (wow, I'm old). We had a sauce I've been trying to duplicate forever. For a while it was sold as a dry mix called Sal's Birdland Sauce. No more. Now New York Style Deli sells a mix. To me it doesn't taste anything like the old sauce. Too much cinnamon.
