I use Slabs sauce with Slabs rub. Why? Because the sauce is flavored with the rub so it compliments the rub and doesn't have different spices that might conflict. cooked 7 of the 8 Michigan contests and took 1st place in 4 of them so it works for me.
My suggestion is use any commercial product that does both and you may need to experiment with honey in the sauce to get that KCBS sweet the judges seems to like.
