1. I want them to validate their score. Period. Answer the question of Why was it a 7 or a 6 or a 5. Put a comment. Think about it as proof you know how to judge and why that piece scored what it did.
2. Helpful. Think of it as the real way to give feedback to a team. I wish I could tell a team (maybe they're new) why I gave it a 5 or a 6. Shoot I'd like to tell them why it was a 9 or even an 8. But I like to be helpful in improving BBQ.
Won't happen. Comment cards were panned here and all forums in the past as a waste of time. If KCBS doesn't make it mandatory, with training on what to say... it won't happen, again.
