I’ve used it a few times. It snaps, pops and shoots sparks and embers way too much for me. Burns up fast and did not impart much flavor. Not a big fan of it. I switched to Nature Glo and I'm very happy with it. I buy from my firewood guy in 20# bags. You may also want to look at Royal Oak. You can buy Royal Oak at Restaurant Depot in large 17# bags; however Wal-Mart used to sell the smaller bags. The Naked Wiz has done an extensive review on various lump charcoals. Here's the link.
