Well we all get scores at each contest. How about you must cook a minimum of 5 contests and we add up all the scores you get at a contest and divide by the number of contests to get an average score for the year. So if you cooked 5 contetst and got 660.8542, 632.5124, 696.2146, 645.2148 and 672.3125 then you would have a total of 3307.1085 and a score of 661.4217. I'd be amazed if there were ties. Of course we'd need a rule that says if you cook the contest as in turn in one entry then you must count the contest.
I'm sure that there are lots of things to be tweaked on this but it might be a starting point to consider. It still favors the teams that cook 20 or more contests but any team with 5 contests can compete so it is open to more members.
Odds of ties would be pretty slim and toward the end of the year you are trying to do your best to improve your average while still trying to do better than others.
Rember it's just a suggestion so any posts with ideas to improve it would be welcome.
And in past years I've done between 5-11 contests but this year I may actually do a lot more contests. Plans are being made that could see me at a lot of new locations this year.
