I assume you mean the fuse that is located on the back of the temp control device. I have run into trouble as many have with the glow rod shorting out and popping the fuse. So much so that I put a switch in line with it so it wouldn't shut me down in the middle of a cook. Even though it's not activated after the first 5 minutes, if the element inside goes to ground, it will blow the fuse.
