I've seen units hauled on a receiver hitch platform before. Be sure and verify the tongue weight on the hitch. Emerald Buffalo carried his FE behind his motor home. I carried my Fat Boy behind mine.
The problem lies in finding a platform heavy duty enough to carry the smoker. I had mine custom built after a 500 lb rated platform swarmed first time I loaded it. You can drive a Mack truck on the one I have now. Another problem is the height of the unit and the ability to secure it properly.
