I find this timing of events in the last month or so rather interesting. Most think that people are cheating but not many feel they have knowingly violated the rules. Lets look at Lakeland for example. First I must say that Tuffy is what I consider one of the nicest gentleman in BBQ. I feel he is the example of what you want a BBQ teams to be and represent this sport. The rules that are in place mostly rely on each others honesty. Do we consider the rep as a BBQ cop and when the going gets tough that we lay it on their shoulders to make the call and not our own? I have had to set back and look deep inside and ask myself would I have looked at Carolyn and had her make my decision for me or would I have took my box and walked back out the door knowing the rules. My answer to myself is I'm a Tuffy to. Sport is won and loss alot in the grey zones and the human element of the decisions of the referees. It was very interesting to see it all on video and the outcome was per the rule book.
Question, what would you have done?
