Here is the problem as I see it. KCBS has all these sanctioned contest around the US and then contracts with SAM's and adds a bunch of additional contests right on top of the already established contest. Now all these small friendly local contest are going to die because the cookers are going to the BIGGER money contest. It really looks like KCBS is dictating where the cookers should go. I don't blame the cookers for wanting to go to a contest that offers the best chance to get some of their cost back, but instead of shotgunning all these contests around the States, they should have shortened the number of contests to lessen the effect this will have on the other contests that have been around for awhile. Sorry for rambling, but this is how I see it.
