I have made plenty of rubs for myself, but to tell you the truth, I go back to what is on the shelf. To name a few, The Slabs have good rubs, so does Smokin in the Dark. Rib Stars...Smokin Guns and so on. Don't be affraid to try them. You just might be suprised.

These rubs are tried and true and I bet are used at every Q contest around the country. And if you have a contest with 50 teams entred and out of them 30 or so are using off the shelf rubs, that says alot to me.

I know it's nice to say to your friends that I made this rub, but I look at it this way...why reinvent the rub.

Alot of these rubs can be bought from advertisors right here on the Forum. Just look at the banner at the top of your screen.
