You're right, it IS a lot of work. In the 12 years I've been involved in competition BBQ, Shelby, NC is the only contest where I can remember any teams, and there were many teams there, using burn barrells. Over time, it dwindled to one team and the past few years no team has used burn barrels. So, I'm fearful that an old tradition may have died. Of course, on a windy night, flying sparks wreak havoc with downwind canopies, tents, etc. So, be sure to take care. Good Q'en On Ya'. John
