Pork collar was not outlawed, it would have had to been a legal cut to be outlawed. It never was a legal cut under KCBS rule 10, which states pork is defined as Whole Shoulder, Picnic Or Butt. The collar, on its own, is none of the above. As for teams purportedly winning with pork collar, they would have run the risk of a disqualification if caught. I'm sure that with the publicity this issue has received lately most teams will be keeping an eye out for anyone using the cut.
