One important consideration is the width of the bags you can seal. If you are planning on sealing raw pork butts or large packers, food saver is marginal at best. I have both. The one Pit Stop, I think, is a good size. You can also get at http://www.midwesternresearch.com/ that is very similar but less expensive. It will do 15" bags and they have a selection. If I recall, their bags are less expensive than food saver.
