Read your labels when you buy ribs and watch for those sold with a salt solution. If you buy them with the salt solution, I would use only a salt-free rub the night before. Maybe just black pepper, garlic, onion, herbs, etc.

Often the ribs in solution are sold in cryovac, a heavier, tough plastic.

Solution or not, they are all good ribs. But you need to watch how much salt you add to those with the solution.

Man, I hate putting all that work into making the perfect ribs to end up with ham on a stick.

Men will cook if danger is involved.
