i agree with fuel prices being the biggie but there are more contests now than a fews years ago and some folks that do a limited number of contests now may meet that limit closer to home. Just a few years back there were only just a couple KCBS contest in Georgia and I belieeve this year it is pushing sixteen plus several from other sanctioning groups. The job market and being out of work I'm sure makes a difference for some.
