How long have you been doing comps? What were the best things that happened to you at comps? Do you still have the support of your family to do comps? Are there other things in your life that have changed your perceived "passion" about comps and bbq in general?

It's a revolving world and with the economic implications that affect comp teams I totally understand your question. Maybe it's not a question about your passion, maybe what you are feeling is an internal gut check from your heart. Is competition BBQ really right for you right now, at this point in your life? Those are questions that only you can answer. I've been through the same thing three times in the last five years. Things change in your life on a daily basis. It's not just about winter and the coming spring. That just changes the times you have to start your lawn mower...
