Years ago I discovered the following here on this forum. I still think it is is one of the best.(I added the Steak Dust) and I inject with Butcher's....

Bear's Brisket Rub
Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
4 Tablespoons Garlic powder
4 Tablespoons Onion Powder
4 Tablespoons kosher salt
4 Tablespoons black pepper
2 Tablespoons Thyme
2 Tablespoons Durkee's Steak Dust
2 cups Dark brown sugar (or granulated brown sugar)

Thoroughly combine all ingrediants.

Serving Ideas : Great on beef ribs, too.
