Injected Pork Butts

I smoked two butts that I injected with Butchers Pork Injection this weekend.This is the first time I have ever injected butts.I was told Butchers was strong so I used 3/4 cup instead of a cup with 2 cups of water that gave me a cup per butt.I put a rub on one of the butts and left the other naked to see what the difference would be.Smoked them on wsm at 250 with hickory chunks took them off at 195 and wrapped them and put in hot box for couple of hours unwrapped pulled bone and chopped them. So far So good.I thought the injection would enhance the flavor not be the flavor if I had closed my eyes I could have called it mystery meat.Do you think the top winning teams are injecting there pork and if so do the judges no what pork taste like anymore.I always thought the meat should have a smokey flavor and injections, rubs, and sauces should enhance that flavor not mask the flavor.What do you folks think?
