I agree that the cost of meat to cook for bbq is very expensive on the East coast. But for you it seems to be more about cooking for your family. Brisket and bone in ribs cost a lot. Chuck roast and country style ribs are very inexpensive much of the time. Pork butt is also usually inexpensive. You can't buy home-cooked bbq that you made yourself at any price so if you like it you can find a way every so often, right?. Mary Ann
