I wrap my mine with a water heater blanket and can easily get 14-15 hours out of a load of charcoal. I have never been able to get much past 6-7 hours without wrapping it. I typically cook around 275.
stoker is great to maintain temps...the eyelets have been mentioned...if traveling it is nice to swap out some eyebolts for the regular ones to bungee the whole thing together.
I have been wanting to put some BGE gasket around the lid and the door...some folks swap out the stock door for a stainless steel door from cajun bandit or something like that...
