Mod's I've used or heard about.
1. Replacing charcoal ring with 18" model (controls temp fluctuations better?

2. Replacing water with Sand / Clay pot / foil / pea gravel
I have used sand in all of my WSM's (5) but have been experimenting with a sand, clay pot combo. Works very well.

3. Eyelit for temp probe.

4. Wire charcoal basket to charcoal grate so it becomes one unit and is always centered when in place. I have done this and LOVE IT!

5. Wind is the enemy, not cold. Wrap with a welders blanket... easy on, easy off!
