Need more data to help. What temp are you cookin at? Ramp your temp up to 300 to 325 degrees and that yardbird will be done in 1 to 1.25 hours. I cook on a weber 22' kettle in IBCA contests.
If you are gettin a 170 temp in the thigh and it is not cooked then you are taking the temp on the bone which will read hotter. Take the temp in the meatiest part of the thigh away from the bone for an accurate temp reading.
