Until someone invents a way to strictly regulate human taste buds, it will always be a cr ap shoot. Whether I was paid with a free lunch or a few hundred bucks for my effort, I still won't like unsauced ribs as much as I do sauced, and I still won't like Carolina pork as much as I do sweet sauced pork, and I'll never like brisket with salt, pepper and smoke better than I do brisket with a complex rub and a tomato-based sauce. We can't teach personal taste.
