Out here on the West Coast, we have a chain of stores call the 99 cent store. They sell cans of non stick spray real cheap (99 cents). I have 2 Klose pits and have done this to both of them with great success. I spray real heavy on everything and burn it out at lower temp like 200-250 max open the firebox vents and choke down the stack to about half way. I do it for at least a few hours, the more the better. The amount of cans depends on how big your pit is. Like I said before, I put it on pretty heavy and burn it for quite a while.
