I have used pellets on most occasions. Pellets are good and locally available, but they turn to sawdust if not used quickly.I also use wood chips. I ran out of wood chips and I went on line seaching for a bbq wood dealer that sold wood chips. I found a dealer and their price was $39.95 for 1 cubic foot of chips. This price was 2 X the value. I decided to pay the price and when I went to check out, the shipping was $20.00. This made the cost for one cubic foot of chips cost $60.00. I have decided to cut several hard wood trees, that were cut 6 + months ago into 1 inch lengths and cube the pieces. How do you feel about the cost wood products for smokers?
