Pro's vs. Con's
This set-up works for me , since water seeks it's on level, keep the top of the funnel just below the top of thr water pan that way you'll never overfill it. Just look into the funnel if it;s low just pour in water till it's to the top of the funnel. this can be done cheap, no welding and you can do it your self. Plumbing parts are from home depot.

You will need some special fittings or bushings to recieve the 5 gallon jug, it's heavy and to make the jug clear the side of the pit it will have to stick out further than I wanted it too.
