Perhaps you have the same problem that the Honda EU2000i has. I have two, they both refused to start. After much work i went to the Honda service shop. He took one look and told me the problem. The intake valves were froze up. Seems they have a super tight clearance on the stems and the normal varnish found in todays gas will solidify and freeze the valve open. There is a service bulletin on fixing the problem and it has to do with a tear down, locking a hot air gun on the block and bringing it up to 700 degrees.
My repairs cost me $200.00 each. This can be avoided by using a gas stabilizer in your gas. You can buy a big bottle at any auto parts store and it will treat many gallons.
