It's watts, not amps. The key is PEAK wattage for the inverter. It's only while the ignitor is running (the first few minutes) that the peak is hit. After that it's pretty low wattage.
SO... if you already have a fire going, you'll have no problem.
Most inverters have a peak that's higher than their rating just to handle short surges.
