BEEF JERKY (ingredients per 5lbs. meat)

1 1/4 cups soy sauce
1 1/4 cups worcestershire sauce
1 1/4 cups water
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons black pepper
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablespoons onion powder
2 1/2 tablespoons salt
red pepper flakes

mix all ingredients and marinate meat for 6/8 hours
sprinkle red pepper flakes on top
put meat on dehydrator 6 hours or till done

I never done it on a smoker but would guess you will have to cut the meat a bit thicker.
