Just like driving a car, it's illegal to fly while intoxicated. In fact, the law is you can't fly for 8 hours after having ANY alcohol. Also your blood alcohol must be below .04% So even though it may be over 8 hours since you had a drink, if your blood alcohol level is over .04, you are not legal to fly.
If you can't do without the booze, please don't come judge. We don't want you drinking and judging, we don't want you drinking and driving and we also don't want you drinking and flying.
