Man o' man what a weekend! The Vegas comp from our view was FANTASTIC! Ronnie and crew made you feel welcome from the moment you hit the lot to when you left! The Orleans bent over backwards to keep everything clean, power on and supply anything they could to make us as comfortable as possible! They had a whole crew roving around with those little brooms and dustpans like you'd see in a movie theater sweeping up everything including errant pebbles! If someone dropped something within no time someone was there picking it up. They had a water truck come and for $15 he filled our fresh tank and the electrician roamed the site making sure power worked. I've never seen a casino get so involved in an event such as this in a long time.
The teams looked to be having a good time, the crowd was great on Saturday albeit a bit smaller on Sunday.
We met some fantastic people for the first time, and were happy to get to hang out with some of our older friends as well.
I certainly hope this event is only the first in a long running string at the Orleans, Ronnie you and your family did a fantastic job from our point of view!!!
We saw lots of Master CBJ's milling around and we would have loved to judge just to taste the 'Que from around the nation but unfortunately due to a few pusillanimous people my family was politely pulled from judging.
Congrats to KCBS, from our vantage point outside the judging area and the awards it looked very organized and went off with nary a hitch except that one wrong banner thing. Very smooth, the Reps were very nice and professional when we spoke throughout the day and everyone looked to be having fun!
Not taking anything away from those that walked but we were extremely happy for the Montana teams that walked, nice to see our old friends from the frozen north make a good showing!!!
One again, thanks to Ronnie and family, the Orleans and our customers for a great weekend!
