If a guy wanted to fill his pickup truck with donated pork butts for Joplin, do you have any suggestions on how he'd go about doing that? Sorry for the stupid question, but I've never done anything like this before. I will hit up my friends, family, and coworkers for donations, but I suspect many are already tapped due to recent tornadoes here in the St. Louis area.

I can safely load about 1,400 lbs in my truck. In a dream situation, I'd like to call a single Sam's Club, tell them what I want, pull up to the back with my truck, and have them load me up. Since I'm quite sure they're not going to take my word for who I am and what I'm going to do with it, I'm looking for a little advice.

Will Sam's and other stores donate to an individual like me? What kind of paperwork will they require? Am I being realistic?

This morning, I'm just trying to figure out if I can even get enough together to make the trip worthwhile. I have a Sam's card and several stores in the area, so I'm sure I can find quite a bit of pork on Saturday...put it in the deep freeze over night, and load up Sunday morning. I just want to make this as quick and "worthwhile" as possible. If it doesn't look possible, I'll just make a donation to Kookers Kare.

Thanks,
Gerry
