Wondering if it makes sense to replace flaborizer bars with briquettes???
Iíve had a Weber Genesis Gold grill for abt 9 yrs. Itís served me well but itís time to replace the flavorizer bars. FYi, it has 3 burners and 5 bars. I know replacement bars are available, but Iíve heard that briquettes are better Ė they impart more flavor in the food and distribute heat evenly.

Is it a good idea to replace the bars with briquettes?

I know I would need to buy / fabricate a metal grate to hold the briquettes. Not sure how this would work???
