What an outstanding effort all the BBQ folks have done in Joplin. We did a one day feed for 2600 in Greensburg in '07. We thought that one went pretty good and made a lot of folks happy. That event does not even hold a candle to what has happened in Joplin in the last week. The coordination, the total team effort by all the volunteers that have participated, the sponsors, the cash donations from across the country, the total dedication to making this whole thing happen...it's very simple to explain:
BBQ'ers are who we are, we take on the task and finish it to the best of our ability. We do it because the job needs to be done and we do it knowing the results will be what we wanted them to be. We can't fix what is broken, butt, we can sure make the path back to fixed a lot easier.

Congrats and hugs to all of those that have participated in the Joplin BBQ Relief Effort. Job well done. There are people you will never know that will continue to thank you for the rest of their lives.
Angels UP !
Steve
