Yep, GL is Rod's sponsor but he's right about it -- it'll cut through about any gunk. I used it in the corners of my pit where a bunch of buildup was getting pretty yucky. I sprayed it on heavy and let it soak in for about an hour before using a wide flat-bladed tool to dispatch it. (didn't take much effort). A couple of little spots needed a second go, but 90% flaked away the first time.
