Before I get into the car for a road trip and don't know exactly where I'm going, I use Google maps to lay out the route. Then, I use my car's nav system to help and corroborate. Nav system and Google almost always agree. And, Nav has never failed me yet. That said, Google has already told me enough about where I'm going that I can tell when the nav system is "taking me around my elbow" (as it does sometimes) and can avoid that. When you don't do what the nav system tells you, be prepared to see (or hear) "recalculating" a lot. In the end, though, I DO trust my nav system. It's never attempted to put me into a creek or off a cliff yet. LOL. Good Q'en On Ya'. John
