Just a reminder of the BBQ cook-off sanctioned by the KCBS and the CSBBQA coming up in just a few weeks on July 8th,9th, and 10th at Cedar Run Park, Thornbury, Ontario, Canada. We are starting to gear up and everything looks like it is falling into place.

We are still accepting entries in all categories of BBQ, Whole Hog and Chili. Those of you that have registered, we need confirmation of your attendance as we are working on all requirements on our end to provide water, electricity, etc to you. I sent out a welcome manual, if you didn't receive it, send me a quick e-mail to and I'll be sure to get one out to you. We really want to make sure that all of your needs are met so confirmation would be greatly appreciated.

Those that have not registered and are planning on coming. The cost is 200 dollars for all four categories of BBQ or 75 dollars per individual category. Chili is 50 dollars and whole hog is 200 dollars and includes a 100lb. pig. Electrical hook up is 30 dollars and will give you nice clean hard wired power. Ice, water etc. is complementary as well the Friday feast and Sunday whole hog dinner is free for participating teams. Please register at our web site at and click on BBQ registration.

Teams will be welcomed as early as Thursday July 7, 2011 and our gates will be open from 8am - 8 pm. Gates will be open on Friday July, 8th between 6am - 8am for loading and opened to the public at 10am. The meat inspection will be Friday July, 8th starting at 9am.

There has been some concerns regarding our site sizes that where posted. What was quoted was suppose to be for an estimated spacing of the area for the town and fire and number of teams were way exaggerated. We have way more room then that. The park is 250 acres and I've set aside 30X40ft sites which should accommodate any size team.

We also have a couple a spaces available for anyone wishing to vend BBQ and make some money.

Looking forward to a great event and meeting each and everyone of you!
