At one point (if what I think I know is correct) Stump had sold to Viking and has bought the company back from them.

With either you won't be disappointed. I'm currently using 2 SS2's for comp and my former teammate also picked up 2 for use now that he moved to South Carolina. We chose Superior as we liked a few of the design features a little bit more than on the Stumps (charcoal on the back vs. side allowing for the door to open 180 degrees, the weight not resting on tires, etc.).

After having competed for 1 1/2 years on the Superiors, I wouldn't change and would buy from Joby again. They cook great, amazingly efficient and have increased the consistency I see in product dramatically.
