I've decided to roast my first whole pig this summer and I'm going to make my own rotisserie (half the fun in my book).
I have a couple of questions about the rotisserie. If I plan on a maximum pig size of 150lbs, how long is a 150lb pig with head on? I need to decide how long to make the spit.
Also if the rotisserie motor runs at 6 rpm is this a decent speed? Seems a little fast to me but that is the slowest motor/drive I can find without external gearing or chain.
I'm really looking forward to this project and the inaugeral pig roast in a month or so....
