I've been looking at the motor that Frank referenced from Grainger...its 1/4 Hp with a gear reduction drive on the front running at a final speed of 6rpm at 600in/lbs of torque.

I could certainly put a little chain drive on the front to reduce the speed further if the wisdom is that 6rpm is to fast or the motor would need greater torque.
