There are a lot of books that give recipes and a tidbit of technique...the BBQ Book is the only one that got me on track with all the popular meats including brisket, which is one of the toughest to get right. Low and Slow is also a good book on technique but it 'graduates' (if you read it you will know what i mean) with pork shoulder and does not tackle Brisket so if Brisket is not important, get that one too..buy or get from the public library like I did.
