I have been posting on this forum for over 12 years. I have seen a lot of people come and go and I have seen a lot of conflicts ebb and flow, even started a few myself but I have never seen such a collective myopic view of a situation as I am seeing now. Iíd like to suggest we all take a collective breath, fire up our pits, grab a cold one and take a moment to reflect on what brought us all here in the first place. First, the posting alluding to this being a race issue was indeed a CBBQA forum memberÖbut not Harry. Do I agree with it, no. I write it off as one personís opinion which was not well thought out and void of any reality as it pertains to this situation. Yet, Harry is the one who is taking the fall for that post? Second, with respect to who Harry copied his letter to makes perfect sense. All parties copied have input to the Jack, it behooves them to be informed. Was there malicious intent or a hidden agenda here, highly unlikely and, if you know Harry you know that is not in his playbook. Third, Harry is asking the Jack committee to make a ruling on what he perceives to be a possible mistake and is willing to accept their decision as a final answer. Nowhere is he demanding they change their mind, he is simply asking for clarification regarding what he perceives to be a discrepancy in the information he received and, for the committee to take this into consideration before making a final decision. If he is wrong, he is wrong and he will accept that. Finally, to imply that the whole Jack organization could be brought down because of this incident is ludicrous and overinflated. Do you honestly think an organization with this kind of history and respect could be taken down by one personís letter asking for clarification? I am not writing this because of my association with any involved parties but instead because I see these attacks as a gross injustice. I am dismayed to see so many jumping to conclusion and so quick to accuse before all involved parties have had a chance to respond. I for one will let this take its course and let the Jack committee respond before forming my final conclusion. My pit is hot and my beer is cold and you are welcome to join me.
