There was one in Loganville on 78 for a while - it didn't make it.
Never tried it myself because somebody told me they had no smoker on the premises, just trucked food in from a central kitchen. Can't confirm myself if that was true or not.
It was an expensive, custom-built location, so I bet high overhead was a big part of that location going out of business.
Personally, as someone involved with a small independent barbecue restaurant, I'd say you would be ill-advised to buy such a franchise. Franchises can work for fast food that you can systematize, but not so well for foods like BBQ and Chinese. Ask them what percentage of their franchise owners are still open after five years.
